In 1997 six alpacas - two suris and four huacayas - selected from the
diverse and distinguished herd of Ameripaca, launched a breeding program that
continues to deliver cria with exceptional conformation, excellent fiber
quality and a calm and friendly disposition.
Most of the bloodlines at Caraway Alpacas, Inc. come from the renowned
Acero
Marka herd lineage. Other bloodlines include MFI Peruvian Primero,
Woods
Edge Macgyver, Peruvian Challenger, and 4Peruvian Pancho.
In order to make room for new bloodlines, we are currently reducing our male
herd and offering reduced prices on some of our
"blue ribbon" males.
